DHL Freight expands Eurapid LTL service

DHL Freight has expanded its premium less-than-truckload (LTL) service, Eurapid, in a bid to effectively handle international day-definite groupage shipments in main economic centers.

The company’s advanced service is currently available in 105 destinations in 22 European countries, helping to provide customers with short delivery times.

Eurapid provides prioritized handling and scheduled door-to-door delivery services on a daily basis to 22 countries through 105 terminals.

The service, which is for shipments up to 2,500kg, will also compiles same-day pick-up and available for customers in selected areas through Pre12 delivery value added service.

It is said to compile priority handling of shipments across the entire journey beginning from the booking process, boarding to delivery with premium service.

The priority booking service will ensure planning reliability and immediate price information through digital order management.

According to the company, the customers also benefit from committed lead times and scheduled arrival days while standardized reports on delivery times extend the service

Eurapid service is based on the Freight Euroconnect network, which operates on around 2,000 international lines across Europe.

DHL Freight CEO Uwe Brinks said: “The latest enhancements mark another step of our new strategy 'Freight 2020' with the clear set goal to offer the highest possible level of quality, speed and reliability within our services.

“For instance customers from the technology, textile and fashion industries demand higher frequencies and reliable processing.”
