Flash Europe acquires UK logistics firm v-one

LBR Staff Writer Published 15 February 2012

France-based freight company Flash Europe has acquired UK-based logistics provider v-one.

The acquisition also involves a company of v-one which has been operating in the market for many years and will enable Flash to profitably access the British market.

France-based freight firm is focussing on local expertise when it comes to expanding and integrating Flash v-one, which will be lead by James Griffiths.

Griffiths will be supported over the next six months by Roxana Tugui, who takes over leadership of the integration project.

As part of the acquisition, Flash will take all the staff at the British logistics company.

Flash Europe general manager Philippe Higelin said the acquisition gives the opportunity to enlarge the company's network in air charter, airfreight and on-board-courier services and, above all, benefit from its staff's expertise.

"In return we'll be sharing our skills in direct delivery with the company and will offer v-one customers our high quality service," Higelin said.

Both the companies have not disclosed the financial terms of the transaction.

Flash Europe provides time-critical road freight, combined with experts for air freight and air charter solutions, offering a one-stop service for all time-sensitive freight.
