MIQ Logistics opens new logistics facility in Netherlands

LBR Staff Writer Published 27 January 2012

MIQ Logistics, a logistics solutions provider, has opened a new logistics centre at De Voorde in Venray, The Netherlands.

The new Venray warehouse and distribution centre features 110,000 sq ft of warehouse space, including an adjoining logistics office complex.

The company said that the new facility is an integral European Union logistics corridor that provides service coverage to Germany, Benelux, Eastern Europe, France, UK, Italy and Spain.

The new logistics centre will also be directly connected through road rail and barge from/to the main ports and airports of the Netherlands (Amsterdam, Rotterdam), Belgium (Antwerp) and Germany (Frankfurt, Dusseldorf, Cologne and Duisburg).

MIQ Logistics vice president and MD of EMEA Rob Bongaerts said the company's new Venray facility gives its customers a distribution point that allows them to reach the most important markets and business centers in Europe.

"The Netherlands is one of the few countries that have actively implemented a cross border bonded warehouse license which has facilitated the flexibility that is needed in our customers' supply chains," Bongaerts said.

The new Venray facility provides transparent customs formalities and is capable of operating as a bonded warehouse.
