Pointer Telocation secures contract to provide fleet management solution in Brazil

Pointer Telocation has received a $1m contract from an undisclosed customer to deliver and install advanced solutions to manage a fleet of vehicles in Brazil.

The company's solutions will allow the customer to effectively manage its fleet of around 1,500 motor vehicles.

Pointer will incorporate its telemetry solution into the customer's dispatch center, allowing it to efficiently manage logistics and field services.

The firm's Dynamic Real Time Dashboard enables the customer to reduce fuel waste and unauthorized use of fleet vehicles, as well as decrease the accident rate.

Pointer Telocation president and CEO David Mahlab said: "We are very pleased that an important and sizable Brazilian customer chose our solution over the alternatives in this competitive market.

Pointer Telocation provides technology and services to the automotive and insurance industries. Its services include road side assistance, fleet management and stolen vehicle recovery.
